I'm back again

So, it's been a long time. I've had a very hard time keeping up with this blog. I start it, then abandon it over and over and over. I hope that I'll stick with it this time.
so, I'm still in my sophomore year (classified senior). I'm majoring in Biomedical Engineering, and hoping to become a doctor. I'm 39, with a wife, 4 kids, and a full-time job. I'm attending school part-time this Spring 2016 semester. I'll be taking 8 credit hours. I'll take Molecular Biology (4 credits), Engineering class (2 credits) and I have to repeat Org I lab. Last semester I failed both my Genetics class, and Org I lab.
I'm planning to do well this semester, and really rock it. I have to.
So, I have a horrible GPA (sub 3.0), and I was thinking that I really need a great MCAT score to help with it. I'm not planning to take the MCAT till April 2017, but I think I need to start preparing now. I'm very busy and will never have a chance of following the 3 months and 4 months MCAT study schedules posted by kids on SDN. Plus, English is not my native language, so that will require me to prepare harder for the CARS section. And harder here means longer, and without a guarantee that any of this will work anyway.
planning to take MCAT and apply next year in the 2017-2018 cycle to marticulate in July/August 2018.
